Radagast Pet Food, the makers of Rad Cat Raw food, has announced a limited recall on specific lots of its raw, frozen Beef, Chicken and Turkey formulas.
The recall was issued as a result of testing done by the FDA which found salmonella and listeria contamination in some samples. There have been no reports of illness.
The products being recalled include:
Grass-Fed Beef (8oz, 16oz, 24oz, Samples)- Lot# 62384 Best By date: 2/6/17
Grass-Fed Beef (8oz, 16oz, 24oz, Samples)- Lot# 62361 Best By date: 1/8/17
Free-Range Chicken (8oz, 16oz, 24oz, Samples)- Lot #62416 Best By date: 3/14/17
Free-Range Turkey (8oz, 16oz, 24oz)- Lot# 62372 Best By date: 1/21/17
Lot numbers and expiration dates can be found on the lids of all tub sizes.
These production lots were tested by the manufacturer prior to distribution and no contamination was found. Only the Lot Numbers and Best By dates listed above are included in this recall. No other products are affected at this time.
If you have any of the recalled product on hand, please dispose of it. Then download and complete the Rad Cat Claim Form and return the completed form to your place of purchase.
