It’s the end of an(other) era.
The best selling 40 pound bag of Precise Foundation has finally been retired. With the new packaging introduced last month, Precise has discontinued the 40 pound size, and has transitioned to a new 30 pound bag. Our last 40 pound bag was sold this week.
What does this mean for you?
If you’re on an auto-delivery schedule which was carefully calculated to reflect the time it took to work through a 40 pound bag, your schedule has been adjusted to reflect the new size.
You will see a lower charge reflected on your billing statements for each delivery, since the smaller bag also means a smaller price. Although the cost of the bag has gone down, the price per pound has gone up slightly. To their credit, Precise has not kept the price of the bag the same while reducing the size.
Is there an alternative available?
As the 40 pound bag was replaced with the 30 pound bag, Precise also made a 44 pound bag available. Whether this will stick around for the long-term or not is anyone’s guess.
If you’d prefer to receive the 44 pound bag for your scheduled deliveries instead of the 30 pound bag, just let us know. While the 44 lb. bag costs more ($62.75 vs. $47.50) it is more economical over time. The price per pound is about a dime less with the larger bag.
Running low? Let us know!
The adjustment made to your schedule should continue to keep you from having to think about reordering to keep your dog’s bowl full. But if you feel the new schedule is cutting things uncomfortably close, just let us know and we’ll get a refill to you as quickly as possible!
