We had the opportunity to run away to the Portland Blues Festival for the 4th of July weekend. One of the first things we experienced was a lovely meeting between Diesel, a one year old Mastiff and Maggie, a 3 month old kitten.
These two were making each other’s acquaintance on the waterfront as we were heading to the festival. The pictures are rather grainy, but you can get the idea. Clarity is much better in the video clip below. For you Blues fans who want a quick report, read on!
What a great start to the holiday weekend- many thanks to Rebecca and Tonya, the gracious owners of these two furkids!!
Here’s a crude clip of this wonderful meeting
This was our first visit to the Waterfront Blues Festival and what a lineup! An amazing variety of greats, all in one place including Grady Champion, Robert Cray, Deitra Farr, Buddy Guy, Lloyd Jones, James Harmon, Patrick Lamb, Maceo Parker, Curtis Salgado, Demtria Taylor, Tail Dragger, Triple Threat, and Brother Yusef. All played sets which were much too short (60-90 minutes) along with some wonderful artists who were new to us. Quite the celebration!
