Did you know we have bird toys? Once upon a time, when we had a booth set up almost every weekend, we brought in an assortment of bird toys. We still have some of them, and we’d much prefer that you have them instead of us.
Let us know what type of bird you have, and we can let you know what we have that may be suitable for your bird’s size. We have some perches and an assortment of toys for small, medium and large birds!
There are a few companies that make these and they are relatively inexpensive. Even for a large bird, they usually run under $10. If you’re making your own, just be sure any colored materials you incorporate are made with food grade coloring. Lots of colored paper is dyed with inks and chemicals you would not want your bird to ingest. Have fun- variety of shape and texture is key!
Sorry, not really an expert on this. I’d be very careful with plastics, metals and colored material. Unless you know for certain a material is food-safe or non toxic, err on the side of safety.
