It’s April 1 and it appears the joke’s on me.
Today was supposed to have been the official announcement and release of our long awaited book. The Dog Food Detective has been in development for the past three years. Actually, it’s been in development for over 20 years, because it’s based on many of the questions you’ve asked during that time. Today was to be the day for all to paw through it.
April Fools!
As is often the case, things have not quite worked out as planned. There’s been a noble effort to reach the goal, but we’ve fallen a bit short. And the result? You’re reading the announcement of the “announcement” instead of the “publication” of the book.
You can sign up for progress updates and a pre-publication discount at the book’s website. Later this Spring when it does make it into print, the book will also be added to the Smiley Dog shop.
As a Smiley Dog client, you most likely don’t need this book (but you’re welcome to buy it). Perhaps you know a friend who could benefit from feeding a better quality food. This book will help them to see dog food differently without scare tactics or technical mumbo jumbo.
The Dog Food Detective details the process we use to evaluate and help clients choose their foods. It takes individual preferences, including budget, into consideration to identify which foods meet your needs. It then guides you through what to look for and avoid when considering those products.
It’s a simple system that allows you to make informed choices, without being dependant on the advice of others. Anyone curious about how to evaluate the quality and value of a food will come away with a new perspective about their pet’s food.
But, so much for the book launch.
It’s April 1, and this is not a joke. The Dog Food Detective is, really, coming soon. Grab a pre-publication here!
